What do drugs have to do with cookies? Well, let me explain…

I was at an event for teens Saturday night, and I picked up this great illustration. The leader at this event brought in a bowl of homemade chocolate cookies and sat them on the counter with a sign that said “Do Not Eat”. Needless to say, some of the teens decided to eat them anyway. They were in for a nasty surprise, though. The cookies (which by all appearances were delicious homemade cookies) were actually made using garlic, curry and other strong spices. They sure did not taste like the delectable cookies they looked like!

Illegal drugs are like that in many ways. They may appear, fun, cool, exciting, etc. But in reality, illegal drugs are nothing good. Underneath their glamorous appearances, illegal drugs are nothing but expensive, dangerous health risks. They may look like fun at first glance, but they usually turn out to actually be health problems, jail time, or even death.

Next time you wonder if illegal drugs are worth a try, take the time to stop and think – evaluate the drugs for what they really are, and you’ll realize that the only good thing to do with illegal drugs is head the other direction!
