Well if you haven’t heard by now, the former Wham/solo “artist” known as George Michael was arrested, again, in a toilet…again. Now I know what you’re thinking: “That George, when will he ever learn to stop soliciting sex from Police Officers,” but you would be wrong. No, this time the 5 o’clock shadowed singer has been arrested for possession of drugs which appear to be cannabis and crack.

I was quite shocked by the crack discovery on Michael. He strikes me as more of a “do coke off a mirror in a studio 54 atmosphere” kind of guy, not a Whitney and Bobby type. I thought Michael would have been a more “sophisticated” drug addict (not that such a thing exists).

Michael released a statement saying:

“I want to apologise to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I’ll sort myself out. And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them.” (Source Guardian.co.uk)

Thank you George, for your consideration of the public. I guess when the only things you are known for are drug abuse and random sex in public toilets an apology is necessary. The sad fact is that Michael is an otherwise intelligent and articulate person, I sincerely hope he, either voluntarily or by court order, seeks the help of a rehabilitation facility.
