Family Drug and Alcohol Intervention | No Enabling, No Addiction
The majority of the men who come to MHR do so because the family has finally decided to stop their enabling behaviors around the alcoholic/addict in their lives. A large number of those families need help in that process and that is where a professional interventionist skilled in dealing with addiction is needed.
Very few alcoholics/addicts will voluntarily enter the world of recovery or seek help for their active addiction. The call of the addiction is too strong and that is where the family intervention becomes the vehicle to stop the addiction and begin the process of recovery.
Because of years of enabling behaviors by the family members, who do not understand the addiction process, the need for a professional interventionist is essential to intervene on the destructive addictive cycle. Many families finally realize that waiting for the alcoholic/addict to do the right thing will not occur. When families reach that point they are often left with the question of what do we do now?
MHR recovery center works closely with a network of professional interventionists all over the United States to assist families with the process of intervention. Please contact our admissions department with further questions.
Remember, if there is no enabling there can be no addiction. Let MHR and our team assist you with that process.
