Prescription Drug Rehab: Recovery Options
If you have experienced the difficult struggle with dependence on prescription drugs or opiates, you may have already undergone treatment in a clinical drug rehab program. If you feel you need a long-term recovery program and/or you have experienced a relapse after clinical treatment, there is a valuable recovery solution available for you at the Mark Houston Recovery Center. Our three month residential program provides a proven-effective next step on the recovery trail.
Mark Houston Recovery welcomes you
Founder Mark Houston, co-author of the inspiring book, "A Twelve Step Journey to SELF-Transformation," energizes the laser-focused mission of this positive recovery center as only someone with a lifetime of hands-on experience can. Mark Houston is a spiritual teacher, speaker, workshop facilitator and writer of recovery books, having worked for many years in the field of chemical dependency. He is currently president--and an active staff member- of Mark Houston Recovery, a 90-day minimum residential center specializing in people with relapse history. Located in the scenic countryside near Austin Texas, Mark Houston Recovery fills a life-healing need for adult men determined to find a workable path to becoming permanently drug-free. The center accepts men who have come from previous alcohol and drug rehab, prescription drug rehab or any other chemical dependency treatment.
For recovery of the whole man
The vanguard Mark Houston program teaches life skills seldom addressed in the recovery process, teaching from practical experience rather than theory or opinion. The lessons that are the framework of this exceptional program are upbeat and immensely enjoyable, using enlightening instruction, motivational talk and engaging dialogue instead of lecture to illustrate spiritual laws and practices. The program centers around the daily discipline of the 12 Steps which originated with Alcoholics Anonymous and continue to be used by AA, Narcotics Anonymous and other related groups. They are spiritual in nature but not religious; they allow participants to ‘work the steps’ according to their own concept of a Higher Power.
Unlike some clinical treatment programs which lack the time or resources for participants to work all 12 Steps, the three-month program that Mark Houston has devised is carefully structured to ensure that all residents experience the powerful transformation of the complete 12 Step program as it was intended to be worked. Fitness, nutrition and outings for relaxation and culture add to the mix of healthy recovery at this beautiful 24-bed facility where men’s lives are recreated.
"If you’re ready to learn to live a sober, responsible, committed life full of promise and fun, we‘re here to help you."
