The 12 Steps

Our residents will have a completely different experience in their three-month stay in our Recovery Center.  In the first month they will experience and work Steps 1-3 and begin working on their 4th Step; in month two they will experience and work Steps 4-9; and in the third month they will experience and work Steps 10, 11 and 12.  Having had a spiritual experience as a result of this step work, our residents will have a foundation leading to permanent recovery.

Life Skills

In addition to working all of the steps with their sponsor, residents will be taught life skills and practices crucial to their recovery:  Areas such as money, career, goal setting, organizational skills, nutrition, physical exercise, meditation, impulse control, communication skills, giving back to the community and their families, spiritual laws which impact how they have been living their lives, and last but most importantly, they will develop a Personal relationship with their Higher Power which promotes inner peace and a sense of all is well.

Spiritual Laws

We introduce our residents to a set of Spiritual Laws which govern our world and if we know how they work we can use them for our highest good.  Over a minimum of 90 days we teach our residents how these laws have created the life they are currently experiencing and how they can re-create their life in recovery.

Fitness

Our residents work out in an on-site gym. Muscular strength, endurance, and cardio-respiratory integrity are the areas we seek to improve in our fitness program.  It helps our residents learn to withdraw from the chaos of the world and find a quiet space within. The attainment and maintenance of physical fitness, coupled with nutritious diet and reasonable rest patterns, require dedication to a long-term, systematic investment in an active life. All workouts are supervised by a certified personal trainer five days a week.

The Four Agreements

The Four Agreements introduce a simple, but powerful code of conduct for attaining personal freedom and true happiness. A discipline to recover the awareness of your authentic self, it has proven valuable to anyone ready to leave suffering behind and master the art of living in our natural state. The Four Agreements are a tool for transformation, leading you to stop judging, mainly yourself, and to start practicing a new way of life.
